The guide explains the benefits of patient involvement in clinical research, as well as the the stages and different types of patient involvement. The guide also covers how to facilitate partnerships. A set of ethical principles was also included however these have been revised and amended. The final version is accessible here.
The guide also covers different areas of research in which patient involvement is beneficial such as Biobanking, Registries and Paediatric research.
